Total no. of Attendees: 11 Presenters: Isao Kojima, Steven Lynden The session focused on reporting the progress made over the past six months during which telcons have taken place regularly and work has progressed on two fronts: interoperability testing of WS-DAIR implementations and authoring of a WS-DAI-RDF(S) motivational/use case document. These efforts have lead to the submission of two documents: WS-DAI RDF(S) Realization: Introduction, Motivational Use Cases and Terminologies WS-DAI and WS-DAIR Implementations - Experimental Document Steven presented a report on the WS-DAIR interoperability testing and experimental document. The attendees were urged to provide public comments if possible. This presentation contained two sets of slides on the OGSA-DAI and AMGA implementations. A brief summary of recommended changes resulting from the interoperability testing was presented. Isao asked what will the next step be. The answer was to wait until the public comment period is finished and then discuss. Questions from two attendees from KEK about AMGA and its support for replication. These questions were answered but the attendees were advised to read literature on AMGA for more details. Most attendees arrived towards the end of the session (which was held at 9am on the first day of OGF27 - one possible reason for the lack of attendance at the beginning). Some attendees were new to DAIS, so the spec introduction/structure slides were presented. Steven and Isao gave a brief overview of the specifications and answered some questions. The availability of the motivational document was announced and Isao made a brief overview of the document, especially the new use case brought by the ADMIRE group. Unfortunately, the motivational doc was not yet listed on the public comment page of OGF page but attendees were shown where to get the document and urged to make comments. In the Q&A session, people from NML-WG showed interest in the RDF spec since they are also planning to use RDF. They are curious about how to make heterogeneous data integration and/or data conversion between RDF, XML and relational. Isao answered that it is out of scope of the current spec and Steven followed up by discussing how the specs provide basic tools to support higher-level data integration scenarios.
