OGF23 JSDL Session - Parameter sweep ==================================== * Introduction to the current draft for parameter sweep - Is it possible to have different cardinality of parameter values, and if yes what is the default value. (This needs to be added to the tracker) * KISTI input file use case ** Discussion of proposal - File location as a reference to a file in jsdl document staging - Comment that ${} syntax can be confusing to users - Modifying input filenames as part of the sweep - Need to define how the file names are generated; or leave it to the implementators - 'default' attribute as a way to define a default in the sweep when different cardinality of values - How are the input files get renamed when (if) they get staged back? - Sequence numbers to identify sweep iteration ** Discussion of next steps: - Is it in scope or not? - Yes - Should the group do one only, both (separately); or combined - There is a lot of overlap and the consensus is to do the input file as an extension to the current parameter sweep extension - Agreed that this extension work should be done in parallel to the existing spec. - Provide requirements on the main parameter sweep specification and make any changes necessary (undecided) so that this proposal can be supported as an extension - The group explicitly left open the possibility of putting this extension in the same document as the parameter sweep spec. In any case, even if in the same document it should be in a separate namespace to avoid confusion
