(from Morris Riedel) However, some bullets: * DEISA uses the official UNICORE @ SourceForge release as released according to roadmaps from the UNICORE Forum and guidance of the UNICORE Forum technical board * Deployments are typically tested on a per site basis, before a greater production deployment is undertaken in whole DEISA, e.g. using a few nodes on a supercomputer especially for testing the new release before it goes in full production for the whole supercomputer. * Agreements on specific dates ensure that whole DEISA is operating on the same UNICORE version afterwards. * There is no automation basically in the process, therefore administrators ensure that the deployments work after making their own tests. However, since UNICORE 5 is stable over many years this process is typically not very cumbersome. * DEISA is evaluating UNICORE 6 for production, but there are no news yet.
