GGF hosts Telecom Focus Session
Over the past 15 months, GGF has organized four sessions
to discuss how grids will affect telecommunications service providers
and their equipment vendors. These meetings have been the source
of some debate as the focus and standards issues facing service
providers has evolved. There is clear evidence that grids are having
a significant influence on the future of telco providers and their
vendors.
You are invited to participate in the upcoming focus session held
during the Supercomm 2005 conference. Monday’s opening keynote
by Ian Foster, “A New Era in Computing: Moving Enterprise
Services onto the Grid” will introduce grids and the promise
grids hold for organizations in the many industries, including telecommunications.
This presentation runs from 9:45-11:15am.
Mark Linesch, Chairman of the GGF, will open the GGF Focus Session
at 11:30am to be followed by discussions led by representatives
from British Telecom, France Telecom, Nortel Networks, and several
others. For full details of the agenda and location, please click
